Leg 19 starts at The Columbia County Fairgrounds not sure of the Mile Post, easy to get to from HWY 30 outside of St. Helens, with steep uphill and downhill grades, this leg is 5.89 miles, I've walked this leg before, while it's very hard I enjoyed it very much.
Leg 27 starts east of Jewell, again don't know the mile post, this leg is 5.60 miles, basically flat, no hills
Leg 35 is just outside of Astoria to the south and Seaside to the east, don't know the mile post, this leg is 7.20 miles, this leg is on a gated gravel road patrolled on horseback. I've never walked this leg however, I've been told the only drawback is it's 7.20 miles.
Leg 19 is your hardest, once you get this one out of the way it gets easier.
We do the walk with 8 walkers, I paid for our team entry last fall, your portion of the entry fee would be $ 135.00.
Also, we have team fees that are due on the day of the walk of $ 64.75, this covers gas for both vehicles, bottled water, batteries, replacement vests, new headlamps and candy for the volunteers.
Karen (Team Captain) of Road Kill Grill is a good friend of mine (their team always finishes in the top 10 each year) both of us have been doing the walk for years. She's a great friend to have.
We'd love to have you on our team, if you're still intersted after reading this all I need is your portion of the entry fee paid up front. The team fees can be paid the day of the walk.
If you have any questions or concerns let me know.
Have a great eveing, looking forward to hearing from you.
