Looking for a cool team to volunteer for
« on: May 28, 2019, 02:27:59 pm »
I'm a veteran volunteer but my various teams are no longer running. Looking for a new team to join. You would only need me, yes, one volunteer, not three. I'm an Exchange Leader and therefore whichever team I work with only needs me to fulfill the volunteer requirements.

I'm not even required to have a team, but thought I'd offer to ease the volunteer requirements.

You are a very thoughtful and kind person.

Our team is made up of mostly Sunset HS teachers.  There is much I would like to tell you about our team.  However, it would be too much.  I have written to the HTC Director about my team's HTC experience the past three years

I would happily send that same text to you so that you could get a sense of what our team is all about.

In short, in that text I explain what HTC is really all about.  I call it, "Do you get HTC?"

To me and my team HTC is so much more than just running, it is about people and what they can do for each other.

I would love for you to be an Exchange Leader for our team.

When I can no longer run HTC, I will become an exchange leader.  Probably at Exchange 24.

Please let me know if you can be a part of our team.

You Rock!!  Thank you so much for posting.  Our 3rd volunteer needed to back out so we are looking to fill our final volunteer spot.  This is our first year as a team of which half of our team members have done the race before and the other 6 are brand new.  2 of our team members are flying in from Dallas to do the race.  It was on their bucket-list so we invited them.  :)

Many of us have been drivers, volunteers as well as participants.  In fact last year we worked with the HTC staff to record a 20+ minute TV show that aired in 29 cities across the US.  Watch:

If you have not made your selection yet we would love to have you join our team and help us out.  Let me know and thanks again.

Team "Finish Inspired" is new to HTC and looking to grow our team of Mountain Movers through the relay, volunteering, van driving and other events throughout the year. Lets talk if you are not already taken! Our purpose is to Move Mountains in the fight against childhood cancer!

Would you like to volunteer for a team like no other this year?

If you volunteer for us, you are spreading what I call the Spirit of HTC.  That basically is this:  doing something for others when they are in most need.  This link is link that has text I have sent to HTC Race Officials.  It is called the Spirit of HTC.  Warning:  very long.

This link is to text about our 2018 HTC experience.  Same Message.  Warning:  very long.

Email me at jeff_smith@beaverton.k12.or.us

I will send you the official HTC invite to volunteer.

Many thanks.
