Title: 45 year old male, 6:30-7:00/mile pace over distance

Hi! I'm English and will be in North America over the summer. My girlfriend has run the Hood to Coast for years, and I have been envious so would love to join in (albeit totally separate - she'll be doing her own thing on an all female team!).
I am keeping myself fit while travelling, so my recent 19:14 over 5k (Malaysia) is a fair reflection of where I'm at. I have run most distances up to marathons, but have done loads more parkruns than anything else.
