Runner ISO team
« on: August 05, 2016, 10:03:28 am »
I'm a 10-year H2C vet looking for a team this year.  I'm 42 and run about a 9:00-9:30 mile.  Ideal fit would be a team that has runner slots 4 or 11 open.  I've had this goal of running all of the legs in 12 consecutive years...hence the request of those runner slots.  Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Ken.  Looking to fill a spot in Van 2 and Leg 11 **is** available.  Not super competitive.  Have runners running 9:30s, or 7flats.  Coordination and doing your part is key with us - not speed.  We are a very friendly bunch of guys/gals.  Have everything coordinated.  Your part is $150 for the race fee (which is the standard $140 per plus we all chipped $10 to go toward our volunteers).  Then it looks like about $75-$100 each for share of van rental/gas.  Payable on race day would be fine.  Have house in west hills for our rest spot between our first pull and before we head to Columbia Co fairgrounds.  Van is coming back to Portland area Saturday night - we can bring you back if you don't have fam/friends at beach for you.  Doing a dinner Thursday night before race in Vancouver.  Can hand off any gear you won't need until AFTER your first leg which I'll then take to the house and will be waiting for you (to keep van clutter low).  We can even do laundry there, and I'll be feeding everyone there.

Anyway - let me know if you're interested.  I've made the same offer to one other runner on here so far.  Looking for reply.  Please let me know if you're interested.

If you guys are still looking for a team.  We are down 6 people due to injuries :(  We are part of a cancer fundraising team.  Each person is responsible for $417 but you do not have to pay for your entry fee it is included!  We have two nice vans reserved and are a fun team!! We are a range of ages and running abilities and our main goal is to have fun and make awesome memories! Since we are down so many people we have not assigned any legs so you can get which ever leg you want. Let me know if you are interested!

Good evening !  We are a co-ed team needing to fill recent vacancies in our roster.  We're looking for a fun-loving, positive thinking runner in it for a great adventure.  We are needing subs in van 2 so we could likely fill  your dream of being #11.  If you would be interested in joining us for the ride of your life, please contact me.  Jamie AKA Captain of team Positively Charged!
