My name is Franz, 41. My girlfriend and I are looking for a team for HTC, we run an 8 minute mile pace for a 10k. We are looking to have fun and make memories.

Franz,
  I am not sure if you are still looking for a team, but we definitely need one runner, and very likely 2.  We are giving that "maybe" one week to try to work their schedule out but I am no longer holding my breath for all the "maybe" answers I have gotten.  Anyways, we are a mixed submasters group, just looking to have a great time.  This is our 3rd Hood To Coast and we are a mixed group of friends (mostly) who went to high school together graduating in the 90s. So the only request we'd have if you two were able to join our team is that you have fun, and don't mind throwing on a kilt or t-shirt or some other form of our high school uniform for our posed photos.
